Local Outreach Ministry Partners

At Lakeview our desire is to share the love and hope of Christ with our community. We do this individually and together. We see our entire congregation as our outreach team as individuals pray, love and care for others in our community in the name of Christ.

We also take on special projects at different times that help people and groups in Duluth while enhancing the common good of our community. We partner with and support several local ministries in our community.

  • Single-serve Beverages Drive - Union Gospel Mission still needs single-serve beverages (bottled water, especially!). There is also a need for 3-section Styrofoam to-go containers. The Union Gospel Mission is grateful and continues to need your help by purchasing a case(s) of single-serve beverages such as water, juice and/or sodas. Donations may be dropped off inside the church by buzzing the alley door Monday-Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM. Thank you for helping our neighbors with this ongoing need!

"Hungry Hearts" Food Drive - Lakeview Covenant has been partnering with Super One Foods and the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) in doing a food drive for the past several years. It's been an annual event that helps fill the shelves at UGM and provide meals to those in need. But then COVID hit. In 2020 Super One was not able to partner with UGM but we still did! Instead of just one concentrated shopping day, however, we encouraged you to shop anytime during the week of February 7th through Sunday, February 14th. Our desire is to continue our partnership with UGM in a COVID-safe way to serve our neighbors in need.

  • Experience the POWER of God. Our mission at Adventurous Christians is to provide a Christian environment where people encounter God in the wilderness. Learn more at https://covenantpines.org/the-4-ministries/.

  • During the 2019/2020 fiscal year 58 quilts from our group were given to 9West at Essentia for their Comfort Cart use. We continue to quilt and deliver to St Mary's 9W for End of Life patients. This would not be possible without the annual Grant from St Mary's Auxiliary. While donations of quilt fabrics sometimes come in, there is a continuing need for batting, backing, cutting blades, etc. This Grant helps cover those needs and keeps the machines humming! Quilting has continued even with COVID and while we have not been able to gather as a group, members have been quilting at home. For the new fiscal that began July 1, we have already delivered 21 hand-made quilts!

  • "Packs of Hope" Backpack Drive 2020 - over 100 back packs were filled and given to St. Louis Co. Foster Care program. Completed Backpacks can be returned to church at anytime during office hours. Would you like to support this ministry and fill a back pack? Call the office at 218-525-6625.
