  • DAVE HUGARE

    LEAD PASTOR     EXT. 114     DAVE@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Lakeview is excited to welcome Pastor Dave Hugare (HEW-gar) on staff as Lead Pastor!  Dave has been in vocational ministry for over 20 years, most recently serving as Lead Pastor at Zion Covenant Church in Ellsworth, Wisconsin since July of 2012.  Prior to his time at Zion he served as a Church Planter for the Evangelical Covenant Church and as a Youth Pastor at both Crossroads Church in Woodbury, MN and Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove, MN.  Additionally, he worked for several years between ministry positions as an Executive Team Leader with the Target Corporation. Dave received his undergraduate degree at the University of Northwestern (St. Paul, MN) and received his Masters of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary (St. Paul, MN). He is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Dave is passionate about “making disciples who make disciples.”  He finds great joy in participating in and watching others deepen their relationship with Christ and share their faith with others. He is a relational leader and enjoys connecting with others over a cup of coffee, on a chairlift at a ski hill, or while serving alongside them in ministry. Dave is married to his wife Leslee, and together they have two children.

  • RYAN STARR

PASTOR OF  WORSHIP ARTS     EXT. 113     RYAN@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Ryan joined Lakeview Covenant's staff in 2018, coming from over a decade of worship ministry. He received his undergraduate degree from North Park University in Biblical and Theological Studies. Ryan is passionate about most anything that ends in “ing” ... hiking, biking, singing, playing, etc. As Pastor of Worship and Arts, Ryan is so grateful for the team of committed people who have stepped up to make our worship gatherings happen and expresses a special thank you to all those who give countless hours of time and energy to be a part of serving with our Worship Ministry. One of the best parts of Ryan’s job is seeing people explore and develop their God given gifts to be used for the building up of Christ’s body. Ryan believes that many of the challenges we faced during the pandemic have stretched us to move forward with more resolve as we share God’s love with our hurting world. Ryan’s prayer is that Lakeview will embrace God’s best as we move forward in mission to impact our community and world. Ryan is a Minnesota native from Buffalo. He is married to Laura and they have two daughters, a son, and a dog named Reggie.

  • EVAN KOLDING

PASTOR OF Next Generation Ministries     EXT. 121     EVAN@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Evan joined Lakeview Covenant's staff in 2018, coming from over a decade of youth ministry on the West Coast. You'll often hear him talk about the necessity of intergernational discipleship, the importance of Scripture, and the adventures of living in mission with God in our neighborhoods, city, and world! He is married to Christina and they have four daughters. Evan loves to be outside on the trails, at the park, drinking third-wave coffee, eating new foods, and spending time with people of all backgrounds.

  • DEB JOHNSON

Lakeview Kids & YOUTH MINISTRies OFFICE ADMIN.    EXT. 110     DEB@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Over 25 years ago, with 3 littles at home, Deb began serving in Lakeview’s nursery. Now, those “littles” are adults and she continues to serve our Youth and Children Ministries. She loves to serve people by working in the office, volunteering with Celebrate Recovery or doing behind the scenes prep for our LCC middle and high schoolers. She loves quiet morning devotions, morning coffee and their dog Kirby. And with their new “empty nest” status, the Johnsons take advantage of date nights at the movies, trying out a new restaurant in town and spending time with family and friends at their cabin.

  • JILL BROMAN

    Operations Manager     EXT. 134     JILL@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Jill starts every day with a brisk walk before she walks into the doors at Lakeview as she has for over 25 years as our bookkeeper! Jill grew up in Salem Covenant, went to North Park College and then joined the Lakeview family when she married her husband John. Jill loves to spend time with her family and grandchildren here in Duluth and travel the country to visit her two sons, Anders and Bjorn, in beautiful South Carolina to soak up some warm and rejuvenating sunshine!

  • JEFF BROMAN

    FACILITIES MANAGER     EXT. 135    JEFF@LAKEVIEWCOVENANT.ORG

Jeff wears lots of hats here at Lakeview! During our cold winters, stocking caps keep him warm as he shovels and maintains the Lakeview campus. Baseball caps keep the sun off his head during the summer as he landscapes our grounds and maintains our facility. Jeff enjoys strapping on his helmet for a motorcycle ride around beautiful Duluth. He might take off his cap so he can take his favorite two girls (his wife, Nancy, and daughter) out to Bridgeman’s Tuesday nights. Jeff's parents met at Lakeview, and he has been part of the Lakeview family his entire life. Jeff loves serving the Lord here at Lakeview. Tip your hat the next time you see him!

Her cheerful attitude is contagious and has been cheering others up at Lakeview for over 7 years. She loves to look out at the lake from her apartment, snuggling up with her cat Bently as she rests up for another day of service.
