This week we begin Advent - a time when we anticipate, wait, and prepare our hearts to welcome the coming of our Savior. We truly believe that Advent is a “great place to start.”  Advent is a time of new beginnings for the life of the church. It can be a new beginning for you in your spiritual life with Jesus. Advent is a great place to start anew as you center your life around Jesus, his birth, life, death, and resurrection.

In Genesis 15, God told a guy named Abram that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. That is a lot of people, and the cool thing is that it includes you and me! This series we will be taking a look at the call of Abraham and examining the beginnings of our faith.

Genesis is a book of new beginnings, do-overs, and a reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness throughout the ages and to all people.  As we dive into Genesis, we will lean into the beautiful truth that Jesus was there in the beginning and that he is still with us today, teaching, calling, and drawing us close to him.
